Death of Osama Bin Laden - Good or Bad?

Do not get me wrong, I fully support the US, and the death of Osama Bin Laden, but I have some reasons why it may not be so good.

Reason #1: Power Vacuum
Since the death of Osama Bin Laden is quite recent, we won't fully know whether or not this will/is already happening. Osama was a symbol and leader in terrorism, but now that he is gone, there will be a power vacuum. It could mean that someone new will take his place, or it could mean an all out manslaughter organized by different groups, to take the place of Osama and Al Qaeda. Terrorists will jump at the chance to become Osama Bin Laden, and lead their forces.

Reason #2: Al Qaeda Threatens Peace
Al Qaeda has threatened a terrorist hellstorm if Osama Bin Laden was ever captured/killed, while it may be a beastly blow to the organization, I still fear for what they have planned, or if they will enact this hellstorm.

Reason #3: Fake?
All of this could be fake, and plotted, even though I am doubtful, it is still a possibility. The body captured may not even be Osama Bin Laden, and as said on the news, the Burden of Proof is quite large on this claim, and no one has yet to see the body. All of this so far has been gossip, I understand the president has addressed the situation. But people can be wrong, and this is still a possibility.

I think it is very good that he has died, in fact I didn't even know about it untill this thread but I am sure that his accompanies will try some sort of attack now.

I agree with all your reasons, but feel he still had to go. He evaded being caught/killed for a decade despite the $25m bounty. His forces treated him like a God and I still think with him gone, there will now be mourning and revenge. But there will be little outbursts. This means they should be easy to handle due to no one coordinating it to the standard Osama did. Not only that but there will also be fighting within their ranks for leadership.

It's like a Civil War, the best time to invade is during a Civil War with no leader, disloyalty and chaos. While there will be revenge attacks, the greater good has been achieved.

If they had anything planned they would of used it a long time ago. This has to be seen as a good thing. The US government and Pakistani government worked as a team to bring down the longest serving leader, and most deadly leader of the most powerful and known terrorist group in the world. I don't like as soon as something big happens in America, there's always a conspiracy. I spoke to someone this morning and he instantly believed it was all a conspiracy, I just don't get that. They wouldn't risk lying to everyone when Osama before was making videos for no reason, he'd simply make another one and mock America which would destroy America if they were caught lying.

It's a good thing, it has to be.

I think it is good that Osama Bin Laden died, because he was a terrorist and he didn't make good at community. All we need is peace.

It can only be a good thing.

Not only will it smash Al Queda's moral, it will also boost countries like America.

Theres always the threat of some follow up attack from them, but personally I think they're more likely to go hide in caves for the rest of their lives.

Pakistani news, Afghanistan news, BBC News, ITV News, Every other UK News, Every piece of American News say it's real. You think this is a mass conspiracy concerning 10+ different countries? If this was fake, why wouldn't Osama make one more video (which he can do whenever he wants as he proved) to completely demolish America by saying they lied to all of us.

It's real, I really dislike it when people assume everything is fake. You think Obama would risk lying to everyone about a topic like this which would offend millions of Americans, when it's close to the election?

This is a facepalm moment Android. You believe on Oxygen, but you can't see it. You believe that humans need it to survive, and that we breathe out a harmful substance named "carbon dioxide", you only believe that because it's what you were told.
