Some of you may be familiar with Bungie's new game that will be releasing September 9th, 2014, titled "Destiny." It is classified as an open world MMOFPS, with both matchmaking and the open world being seperate, yet connected. Up until recently, not very much information has been released. Today, Gameinformer got to have a nice chat with the multiplayer lead of this much anticipated title.

I for one am stoked. I have been playing halo since CE. I have high hopes for this game, and I really hope it has the potential to be competitive. I trust Bungie, and am very open-minded about how the game will play out. Afterall, it is not halo but it is confirmed to have halo-like aspects to it.

Discuss, speculate, share information and get hyped! There WILL be a Multiplayer beta. You can get a code by pre-ordering the game from Gamestop and a few other special retailers. The beta will launch sometime in summer of 2014.

i'm ready for the game but its a while away before its released hopefully it doesnt get pushed back even further.

True. I was pretty dissapointed when I heard that the release date got pushed back from Spring to September. Bungie said they wanted the beta to be fully functional, and I trust that they made the right decision. They made 3 of the greatest FPS games of all time, and hosted the first ever game on XBL. Im confident in their abilities.

I am not too big of a Halo fan myself, but it appears that a ton of effort has been exerted into this game, and it looks like something to look out for.

I dont think it will be comparable with any other game. There is so much diversity, the world is ever-expanding, the possibilities seem limitless. I do hope there will be a core element of halo within the mechanics of the game. Im really excited about all of the customization too.

It looks like a well-balanced game. When I play GTA V, I feel as if the possibilities are limitless as well, but these games appear to be too different to compare.

Take GTA and Skyrim together. Considering size, customization and overall diversity...Destiny will trump them both no doubt in my mind. This game is built to be constantly expanding and growing. Its been in the works for a long time. Not to mention the whole other multiplayer aspect of this game with several playlists. Its never been done before, atleast not on console. Thus, an MMOFPS! :D
 
Look's like a game that has a lot of potential, reminds me of borderlands and I loved borderlands.
 
I saw the previews to this game. It looks sick. Too bad I don't have an Xbox one though.

Well, it will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 as well. They were talking about making a PC version, but I dont think they're going to.

I hope they do. I've got a beast PC. I would love to play it.
 
I'm extremely excited for Destiny. It one of the games I actually pre-ordered. :)

Well since im a part of it i'll consult. My partner cant compete until late afternoon. Anytime after 5pm EST would be great, but not too late because its Friday and I want to do stuff lol.
