I've read through some of these scam reports and I gotta say, I feel like there's no accountability being taken to protect the users of this site against these low-life scammers!
Here's the way I see it, if the tag or virtual merchandise, is posted on the site then it's an on-site deal, there shouldn't have to be all this shit going back and forth in PM's. Using the site to PM back and forth is bullshit, it's cumbersome, and when you've paid and you're waiting there with no other way to "ping" the person other than repeatedly send PM's is just a nightmare in general.
I think the standards by which this site operates needs to be looked at again, and something needs to be done to try to keep the sales and purchased here as protected as possible.
Last thing, and it's only an example:
My recent transactions:
I bought a tag from an unknown to me HF user, however a friend of mine said he was legit. I immediately messaged them on AIM and completed the deal on AIM. His buddy turboed it, not knowing what to do in regard to reporting it, I swallowed my pride.
I bought a tag from here on FK, from a trusted user that I've known for a long time, the tag was posted here. I immediately messaged them on AIM and completed the deal on AIM.
Both transactions were handled the same, I contacted the persons on AIM, both tags were posted ON-SITE, one of which I was scammed and the other I wasn't. I'll handle my own business with the turbo, but there should also be a place where we can report tags getting turboed, so there's a history of where the tag was supposed to go, when it pops up for sale later-on...
