The Drillers's Guide to 99 Mining!

Mining is the process of using a pickaxe to obtain ores from rocks. The higher your Mining level, the better the rock you can mine - to obtain a more valuable ore. You should have your pickaxe in your inventory, or even wield it, and then click on a rock. A lumpy rock may have different coloured veins depending on the ore they can give, or a 'rock' may be a small cluster of three rock images (see ores below). Rocks are found at mining sites all over the RuneScape world. Details of the number and type of rocks at each mining site are listed on Tip.It's mining maps menu page, which includes a link to a map of each mine. You can right click on a rock and prospect to see which type of ore it contains. When you click on a rock to mine it, you will see your character swinging a pickaxe at the rock until he/she gets an ore.
This is a standard ore from the old runescape before the HD updates.
Mining is the second longest skill in the game but rarely do people pursue this fantastic goal because of how challenging it is and how fierce the competition is.
But now with my new methods and top tips you to can be one of the elite miners!
Now a few words of warning this skill will be VERY boring and at some point you will lose motivation take a break from it and try and do it in little chunks along with others skills.
This should help you to achieve your goal of 99!

TIME TO GET STARTED
Levels 1-15
Pickaxe:Iron Pickaxe
You should mine either copper or tin in this stage
I personally prefer tin as there is more of it.
Do not bank this simply mine it to get a full inventory then drop it all and repeat till you are level 15.
My favourite spot to mine it is here.
Levels 16-31
Pickaxe:Steel then upgrade to Mithrill
Okay what you are going to do is go to falador on this one as there is the mining caverns underneath it.
You will mine Iron ore there then bank it and rinse and repeat.
Pickaxe:Adamant Pickaxe (Upgrade later)
All you need to do now is carry on doing the same method as above but with coal.
Bank it all and you should have alot of millions.
When you are level 60 you can instead go the mining guild and mine coal which is alot quicker.
