Amendment to the PayPal User Agreement.
Intellectual Property
We are adding a new paragraph to section 1.3., which outlines the license and rights that you give to us and the PayPal Group (see paragraph 12 below for the definition of “PayPal Group”) to use content that you post for publication using the Services. A similar paragraph features in the Privacy Policy, which is removed by the addition of this paragraph to the User Agreement. The new paragraph at section 1.3 reads as follows:
“When providing us with content or posting content (in each case for publication, whether on- or off-line) using the Services, you grant the PayPal Group a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable (through multiple tiers) right to exercise any and all copyright, publicity, trademarks, database rights and intellectual property rights you have in the content, in any media known now or in the future. Further, to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, you waive your moral rights and promise not to assert such rights against the PayPal Group, its sublicensees or assignees. You represent and warrant that none of the following infringe any intellectual property right: your provision of content to us, your posting of content using the Services, and the PayPal Group’s use of such content (including of works derived from it) in connection with the Services.”

TDLR - If you sell something with paypal, they own all the copyright to it.

THEY ARE TRYING TO RUIN US.

I don't see how this would have any negative effect on anything?

If you don't mind your intellectual property rights being infringed upon, then it's not a problem.

You stuffed up the TLDR part.

I don't see how they can do it but it really doesn't matter because most of the people here buy virtual so PP will own nothing haha.

I don't see how this will have any significant impact on my paypal transactions which consist entirely of virtual goods like kiks etc. Not to say that I support this policy at all.
This seems like a pretty serious infringement of intellectual property for people who for example sell graphic designs or artworks through paypal though if I'm reading this right.

To everyone who says BTC is better it's because
1. Probably not over the age of 18
2. Doesn't have a legitimate and verified PP
3. Been closed because they are fucking stupid
4. Have been charged back on and lost because the above reasons

I've had the same one for 4 years that I've used as my personal to transfer funds and only ever had 1 problem but that was due to a CC company being fucking stupid.
BTC is like giving someone a dollar that might be worth $0.10 or $10 the next day, smart people and good businessmen know better than to deal with something like that.
When the value of a dollar changes constantly it's fucking stupid to deal in it, especially with the fact being if something goes wrong you can't get your money back. Only people that do stupid shit, are under 18, or aren't actually doing business prefer BTC.

None of those apply to me other than the under 18 part. That has nothing to do with the fact that paypal has cheated many people out of money that is rightfully theirs. You can't chargeback with bitcoin that is why I prefer it.

I have also had my paypal for forever. I just don't do stupid shit and be smart about what I do with my account(s)

Never had any problems and never dealt with anyone whom I feel poses a risk to my account. I've had a pleasant experience using paypal thus far, with thousands of dollars going through my account so far. (when i say thousands, it's like only 2 thousand lol)

oh but i like getting agc as a payment more bc they give me more than what they would with paypal : P

You must be over the age of 18 to legally posses an actual verified PP, I'm talking for SSN and everything. The people that got "cheated" out of money didn't get cheated. If the money was rightfully theirs or obtained through legitimate ways then there wouldn't have been a problem. Friend of mine's dad uses it for his business and runs around $20,000-40,000 a month through it and doesn't have a problem.

That's understandable, can actually get stuff with AGC as well. That's something I can accept.

Exactly, although I do think paypal automatically limits a paypal after a few days to force the user to verify it. I've turned 18 recently so I can finally get a verified pp now, feels good not having to worry about getting limited.

They do, but you can call and have them lift it if you get a decent first transaction. And it is, much safer.

Unless it's your name, your SSN, your billing, then problems are bound to happen eventually. You won't be able to prove shit if all names don't match up, doesn't matter if it's family or whatever. Must be your name to be safe.

They will only lift it if you verify it. there's no other way really
