Hey guys, I have a PayPal account that is not linked to a bank account. I have $10 in my account currently right now. I am wondering if I can send this money to someone as a payment currently or if I need to link a bank account to do this.

I have a bank account I could link, but I want to know the benefits of doing this first.

Also, When sending money through PayPal is there a fee involved when sending?

No you don't need to add a bank account to send money. And yes there is a small fee. I can help on Team Viewer if you want.

You can send money without a bank account linked. With a bank account linked it allows you to transfer money to the bank account so you can withdraw it from an ATM or use money in your account to spend via paypal. And as far as I know there's no fee. (I'm from the UK so it may be different for anyone in the US)

If it is a US account I'm pretty sure you either have to have a credit card or bank account linked to it. If it is an Australian or Canadian account, you don't have to have a credit card or bank account. Hope this cleared some things up.

It is a US PayPal account, so do I need one?

Yeah I would if I were you it's convenient to have a linked bank account. Speaking of which I need to open a new bank account since my card expires in like a month. I am compeltely against banks though which sucks for me. But that is the only way I can get money off pp unfortunately. :/

Ya, I have 3 bank account haha. I am soo afraid of Fraud and getting hacked. Checking, Main Savings, Another Savings.

Well you don't need a bank account first of all to send money. But if you ever need to bring it to your bank you will off course need a bank attached.

Paypal is stupid though. Just plain stupid.

You don't need a bank account for a Canadian account but he is using a US account which needs a credit card or bank account.
