Paypal Question?

So I was buying something form a user on this forum and I sent payment via gift to his paypal? He then says his Paypal was limited so I needed to chargeback but can you charge back on paypal if its gift because I contacted paypal and they said you cant open a dispute if you sent as gift but some people are telling me that was a dumb rep and they have.

So what should I do because I sent as gift and his PP is limited so he cant send to his other Paypal, this just happen today and hes trusted so I want to give him time but its not my fault I sent money and he tried sending to his real paypal and it got limited

chargeback as unauthorized and tell the guy who u were dealing with to issue a refund

you will get the money back, and then you will be able to send it to his other paypal

There is no charge back option at all and Paypal is telling me there is no way to charge back.. I told him to refund because you can refund gift payments or to call paypal and tell them to refund..but he hasnt answered and hes been online so Idk ill give him some time

you can't send refunds when your limited unless it is part of a chargeback

go to the resolution center, then press dispute a transaction and choose that transaction, then press unauthorized

I already tried that, it wont let me so he has to call Paypal..
