PC Recommendations

Finally getting around to buying a new PC. (Desktop)

Requirements:
-I'll mostly be using this PC to game, I want my PC to run games smoothly at 60+ FPS.
-I want something I can run multiple things at once on. For example, I'd like to be able to Livestream CS:GO with Skype and several tabs of a browser open.
-Obvious daily use, I want it to be able to run most (if not all) programs smoothly. (Photoshop, etc.)
-No issues with overheating.

I have a budget of just over $1.3k for one of these. Please give me recommendations as this is my first actual desktop purchase.

I'd prefer a pre-built PC, (mostly cause I'm too lazy and impatient to put one together myself lol), but I'm open to any and all recommendations.

Do you already have peripherals(keyboard, mouse, etc) and a monitor? Or would that $1.3k have to include those as well?

Pre-built PCs are really not worth it, I'd suggest building one instead, get the best bang for your buck. Or you could buy one from a service that builds them for you, like iBuyPower, or something like that. I'm sure if you look on craigslist there may be a few people out there willing to build your PC for about $50.

I'm sure if you look on craigslist there may be a few people out there willing to build your PC for about $50.

This would be able to run every modern game at 60 FPS + Ultra. I was going to add in a GTX 970 but instead I swapped it out for 290X. Performs a little bit better than the 970 and it's around the same price, if not, cheaper. If you're going to using disks to burn/install games/programs and whatnot, I suggest going to the nearest computer shop and getting yourself a used optical drive, you don't really need a brand new one if you're going digital. As for the monitor, if you don't have one already, check craigslist and I'm sure you'll be able to find one for a really good price.

I know you said you'd prefer a pre-built PC, but believe me, you don't want one. Putting together a PC is super easy, and if you aren't able to figure anything out, you have a community here that would be willing to help you.

if you're going with a service like that, I'd recommend a CPU water cooler as they're significantly quieter and do a much better job of cooling. Also, Instead of a HDD get an SSD. They're speedy and load things quicker, but don't get the cheap Kingston ones, as they're not the best quality.

The 980 Classified is a decent card and is currently on sale, so you'd have to act quickly to get that.
The future is Intel and nVidia. While AMD may throw some punches at the moment, their whole infrastructure is destined to crumble and I'd advise to stick to team green.

This list isn't as optimised as I'd have liked because I have no idea what resolution you'll be playing on.
