As a potential investor, a few things I would want to see included in your campaign here:

• [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Breakdown of where the money goes (Hosting, DDoS protection, other payments and what they are and how much it costs).[/font]
• [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]A vision you have for FK in the future (Upgrades to the site you'd like to do. People see this, they like it, they help you raise money to do it quicker so they can enjoy the upgrades).[/font]
• [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]You've heard it in every campaign. "Every vote counts" "Every dollar counts" Encourage people to spend, even if it's just a couple of dollars. It cumulates quickly.[/font]

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Really just keep the community informed on the details. You're asking them for THEIR money. Don't just say, "it keeps the site up". Tell them how their donation keeps the site up. If they are able to see what you're spending their money on, they trust you more and therefore spend more. Same thing every political campaign does. [/font][font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Another simple thing to attract more donators is to express extreme gratitude toward those who donate, not just put out the flames of those who say negative things. This is similar to a tactic casinos use. Someone wins big, the casino makes a big deal out of it. Other people see the winner getting praise and recognition and that provides incentive for the other gamblers to go spend more so they may get the same treatment if they happen to win as well. If the community only sees you getting pissed at kids for speaking negativity, it is unattractive. I'm talking about more than a couple of kudos if it's a hefty donation; if nothing else take a couple of seconds and just type "Thank you!". Let them know they're noticed and appreciated. They'll donate again because of it. Kudos are cool if it's a small donation, but the bigger the better you need to acknowledge them. It goes a long way.[/font]

This post is immaculate; I would be more open to seeing how much everything costs in total (for every month), perhaps create a monthly thread of the total costs of everything, and how much the monthly donations helped towards paying for it. Then people can see how much of your money they are spending, and will be more concerned and focused on helping you out.

The potential to earn from the amount of traffic to this site is immense, and I'd be really interested in buying some advertising space.

I saw this was offered before, but not sure what has happened since.

He's working on setting up his own advertising service here, but it will be hosted on another server as far as I know.

Looking at the traffic available to FK it would be the best place to do it.

Absolutely everything specified is included, HOWEVER it is still a new group and I would never specify exact payment details where money goes or exact amount sent to anyone or spent towards the site. That would be a major security risk to anyone that sends money to the official account that keeps the site up. It also would extremely risk my unsaturated and highly exclusive methods of advertising and gaining traffic to FK. Most of all displaying such information to Investors about payments would guarantee ill fated Investors and would also decrease income earned as no one would want their personal information obtainable to potentially absolutely anyone with $200.

Hopefully you can see and understand what I mean. I have never been one to brag, flaunt or be all that social whatsoever. I have ways of doing things and methods that I use and have created and implemented personally. If those methods were ever revealed they would be saturated and useless to me and ForumKorner and potentially cause a major deficit. 

Due to still seeking further company Investors and having lack of funds to properly run advertising campaigns at the level I would desire from unsaturated and unique methods I have created, if those methods were ever saturated before I could properly fund them, that would be absolutely devastating.

I understand your concern of a method leak. Even providing generalized reports would be nice. For example;

Revenue earned (x) month: $(p1)
Spending and costs this month: $(p2) for hosting, $(p3) for security, $(p4) invested for future upgrades, etc.
Next months goals:
Previous month goals achieved:
Previous month goals in progress (and why they are in the stage that they are in):

Stuff like that. [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Definitely don't provide anything that's going to risk the privacy of the investors, such as who donated and how much. As aforementioned in your post, you're right in that you aren't a very social person on here (which would make it even more special when you thank donators), you could set up an auto-PM system that will automatic send a thank you PM to that person when they donate, and have it notify you if they donate more than $60, or whatever you decide is noteworthy, so that you can thank them personally.[/font]

On the economic side of it, people want to know where their money is going to be spent and that it's going to be spent well. They're funding what you're doing so they want you to be as transparent as possible. No one wants FK to struggle. We all are here and posting on this because we support you and the site in its entirety. Asking for donations isn't a bad move t all. Every campaign does it no matter how big or small.[/font]

I am currently developing an advertising site, I was hoping I would have it complete by now but I am close to releasing it. I am just so damn picky and have to get it right and the way I like it as well as how I feel it should be running before I put it in use. I had it setup pretty good before just not on a server that was good enough. Now I have a really good server, I just need to finish development.
