Pokemon GO app or Pokemon on Gameboy/DS?

Edit: The title won't post the é so I don't look like a retard.
Which would you chose if you could only play one?
Although I am enjoying this new version of Pokémon, I would rather play Pokémon on a Gameboy.
If on Gameboy/DS/other Nintendo consoles, which version? 
Leaf green or Crystal were my personal favorites.

I would take any of the gameboy games over GO but, I think I'd play GO over the DS ones.

Fire Red and Emerald are my favorites.

I enjoyed playing Diamond on my old DS and HeartGold.

Gameboy, of course.
The Gameboy Color to be specific.

Pokemon on Gameboy and it isn't even close. Those were some of the best games I've played in my entire life.
