Every day, I'm seeing articles, blog posts, and videos, of (USA) police abusing their uniform. Some cases are simply absurd, where officers are let off with the excuse of 'self defence' or get bail on first degree murder.
A couple of weeks ago, an officer reportedly almost ripped a 17 year old's balls off in a so called 'frisk search'. And that's just the tip of the iceberg,
I can't imagine how many cases get pushed under the rug.
Recently I watched the film 'Fruitvale Station', based on the true story, of a young black male that gets arrested for looking suspicious, then shot WHILE HANDCUFFED. The poor guy was just sitting with some friends on New Years eve, waiting for the train home.
I think America needs to take a second approach to the way they train/recruit their police force. It's looking pretty fucked up as of recently.
