Power+

First of all, this isn't really a rant but it may include a couple of my (negative) opinions in regard to Power+.

ForumKorner's most superior upgrade, Power+, has been handed out to a lot of users lately. With a forever inclining population I know that this is inevitable, but I feel like 1/4 active users have the upgrade.
It works fine at the moment as there is little difference in having an extra 5 reputation points to work with, but what if we wanted to improve Power+? What if we wanted to add new things to the upgrade?

A few examples could be:

• Reduced character limit
• More signature freedom (we are only limited to two images at present)
• Discounts on auctions and transfer fees
• Award sorting

These types of things would be great for Power+, but due to there being so many Power+ users, these features are far more likely to be implemented into Investors or Supporter.
In my opinion, that sucks. I feel as if Power+ has been left in the dust and is a huge let down for what it's worth. A measly 5 extra reputation and a sparkly username is little differentiation from its predecessor (Power).

My point is, it would be great to see some improvements to Power+, and maybe even cut back a few of its users to maintain exclusivity. Don't forget about it because it's old.

i hate the fact that it is more handed out lately rather than earned
i applied three times
denied two because i didn't have the online time met and only that
now you see kids like @'fetty' (no offense to you) getting it in their first week and @'samuel' buying it within a month of joining
and all these kids not meeting requirements
i realize it is at philly's discretion but i think their chance should have been like it was in the past where you had to meet all requirements and not just pay

I'd like to see all of those things brought to Power+ users.

You're wrong. @"Philly" IS the only rule and requirement. He decides who gets in to Power+. There are no rules and requirements.

PS: I believe there should be another upgrade after Power+.

but then again that's another $200

Investors is for investing in the site to see what's going on behind the scenes with the site. Not quite the power++ I'm thinking of.

i understand that, but as i stated it allows you to give rep which is the main reason people upgrade

There is nothing here for behind the scenes, the group is no longer in Philly's control, Seven pretty much owns\runs it
ie: a non staff, so you can only imagine the lack of exclusivity as apposed to it being ran by the owner.

I can say safely I am disappointed in the group itself, but I don't regret the buy, because at the end of the day I respect Philly and don't mind the $ helping out.

These are the requirements listed on the thread. I do see that he starts the thread off by saying there are no requirements but then goes on to list these:

"Power
•Master Donator
•500+ Reputation
•0% Warning level
•1,000+ post count
•1+ months online time"

Not sure why he did that but I've seen those referred to as the requirements.

You are subject to your own opinion. I hope you don't get pentalized for that. The biggest difficulty in life, let alone virtual things, is staying true to your word. Over time, things get distorted and things change. It's nearly impossible to remember that time long ago because of how much the entire world has altered since then. Anyways, I'm getting carried away. I'm sure you will get what you're looking for in Investors. Just allow things to settle first.

He contradicts himself in the first and third sentences. There are requirements, regardless of it being at his discretion.

And then the entire third sentence clearly states there are requirements that he proceeds to list.
