We need an in depth help document that expalins and encourages account safety.

Or maybe some members with more common sense.

I don't think anyone reads the help docs as it is.

Ok, so here is my in-depth detailed review on adding two step verification to Forum Korner. Personally I would highly recommend adding two step authentication to the website.

• it adds an extra security layer
• no more compromised accounts
• less scamming will take place
• improved safety
• good to know that your account is safe

The reason why two step verification is a good idea is because:

• You will need access to one of these methods:
- SMS (Text Message) verification code.
- Email verification code
- Phone call verification code
- Device verification code (highest security)

Either method above would work better than not having any security in place in the first place.

I would definitely use two step verification on here if it were offered to myself.

It's a great addition because it adds an additional layer of security to the forum, it's also not that difficult to add because there are various plugins available for MyBB.

This would deter from users being able to claim that they their account has been / was compromised, if they did in fact use two step verification than cases such as user compromises would be a thing of the past if the two step verification were setup correctly.

If you were to add this additional layer of security I'm sure a lot of users would appreciate this.

Thank you.

He hates when people tag him a million times and PM him things that Moderators can handle.
I'm sure he has seen this considering the tags and how many people posted on it.
Just an FYI.
Good luck getting this approved though.

Ah I wasn't informed of that. I didn't think that moderators could approve suggestions; It'd help if you gave your input about this topic and state whether or not 2 step Google auth codes should be implemented.

I just think its common sense to prevent getting hacked to be 100% honest.
Change your passwords often
Make them complex
never have them saved in your web browser
Never use the same password on multiple sites etc.
Don't use the same  password you use on your email.
Don't download programs from people you don't trust always scan the file and run in sand box.
Use gmail as your recovery email and enable step two on that email.
People who get there FK hacked bring it on them selves and aren't smart about it.
I don't think Philly will do all this and it will be denied I don't want to start a back and forth argument but you asked I told not posting again.

I'm still down for this, it would make the site feel more secure and although I already take precautions so that I don't get hacked this would provide me with a stronger sense of security. Some people may not take precautions, and that is their fault but allowing the option of 2-Step Verification could help out a lot with "Compromised Accounts" that are involved in scams.

This has yet to be declined by @Philly, going to bring this to attention again.
