previous sales

I sold a main account sometime last year and never bothered to do anything to it. recently received a PM from a fellow member and asked me if I changed the gamertag to a different microsoft account. I would never do that nor did it come to my mind. since the gt was taken back, and sold almost two months ago. this wouldnt get me in trouble would it?

You should be fine. Not only because you sold it 2 months ago, but because of the simple fact that you SOLD it, and it should be the buyers responsibility after.

Although if he can provide proof that you actually did take it back, then yes, you would be in trouble most likely.

edit: in all honesty I would never do that. unless he would somehow create fake proof.. just saying.
