Well I recommend you buy some PS3 Exclusives and start playing it. I'd suggest Metal Gear Solid 4, very fun game and one of the best of the series. And theirs God of War, Killzone 2, Uncharted both 1&2, LittleBigPlanet, just a few that'd I go try out with the PS3 if you haven't done anything with it yet. It's a amazing console, and I enjoy every minute on it.
I would do the same as you, but waste of money because the online is the only good thing and only around 3 of my friends have it, all my other freinds have xbox so there is around 15 of us on it at the same time but different parties.
