Guys I really want your help on deciding which one I should get!
My concerns are really that I love the X1 controller and fear I wouldn't like the PS4,but I'm not a fan of paying for online. Also I am currently constantly using ethernet from my computer to connect my Xbox 360 to the internet, hopefully both consoles come with built in wireless now?

As for gaming,I'm not much for a FPS but I spend most of my time on FIFA 14 and getting a bit hooked on NBA 2k13 but I'm legit shit at it.

So please help me and tell me why you suggest that for my preference, thanks guys!

I'm looking to get an Xbox. It just seems a little ahead of the PS4 in terms of features. The PS4 doesn't seem like it's had a whole lot of improvement with the software. If paying for online is your only concern, rule it out, they both require a paid membership.

To be completely honest with you I've seen and heard many problems with both consoles such as the Xbox One rejecting game disc and the PS4 not allowing many people to sign in, if I were to recommend one I'd say the Xbox One as I'm getting one but you might want to wait abit so Microsoft can fix up there problems with the system.

I got the PS4 and I love it. The focused on gaming. Not making the console a cable box you can play games on lol. Although I always played xbox the PS4 controller took me no time to get use to it. It has improved greatly.

They both have their perks, Xbox is good if you play games and also want to watch TV, and PS4 is better if you think your eyes can tell a difference between 900p and 720p. You should ask Siri or flip a coin or something.

I got the PS4 on black friday. I think its alot better then the one, my brother got it. The controller feels 100% better and the graphics are somewhat better. The xbox's color is brighter. The only thing i don't like about the 4 is there security. They already almost got hacked

Just a FYI, you have to pay for a membership on both the Xbox One and the PS4. If i'm wrong, please correct me. Anyways, I would totally go for the Xbox one, never been a fan of the p
PS4.

I have both, and so far I like the PS4 better. Now don't get me wrong I'm still a huge Xbox Fanboy, but with next gen my PS4 doesn't take as long to install games and the graphics are better. Now that being said I like it better CURRENTLY, but that may change once new games are released ex: Titanfall. (I'm a huge FPS fan).

If say roll with the Xbox One, my friend has one and the voice recognition is unbelievable. They outdid themselves with Kinect 2.0. And also, they took away the console locking of games so no more worries about that. And you can like Run Dead Rising three and still be Skyping with a friend. It's pretty awesome IMO

Meh, to be honest I've heard nothing great about the Xbox One. Don't get me wrong, I used to be a microshit fanboy for a long time, the controllers are just impeccable, the community is great and the competitive gaming (used to be) the best within all consoles.. Sides have shifted now, and PS3/4 now holds the competitive gameplay for consoles - Check out CyberGamer, majority of them are choosing the PS4.

Here in NZL, the PS4 was sold out prior to release, whereas XBOX ONE is struggling to make numbers post release.

I personally would go for the ps4, I mean it has 1080p vs XB1's 720p and they redesigned the controller its a lot better feeling, cheaper online the only downfall is it doesnt have some of the titles xbox does like dead rising 3.

I went with the Xbox One. I only really did this because some of my friends said they are going to get it. Also, I am a big fan of Halo, and I can't wait to get my hands on Titanfall, I really think that game will be spectacular.

I think the main reason that I am getting the PS4 over the Xbox One is the sheer size of the X1. From what I have seen it looks huge, and I only have a finite amount of space to use it it. Therefore I think that PS4 would be the best bet in size comparison alone, especially considering it's specs are above the X1's capabilities. Also, I've never really been a big fan of Kinect, as I really don't see the point of it. Yes, it's a great piece of technologym but really the only thing I can see it having an application for is with voice recognition, and when am I going to use that? My PS4 would be sitting on the desk right next to me, so I would't need to shout out about ejecting disks and so on.

I think my opinion on this may be a little biased because I've always had a PlayStation, having grown up with 3 of the 4 generations. However I couldn't really give a shit about what console I get, as long as my friends are on it. I spent the whole of last generation lonely as fuck because all my friends got Xbox's and I had a PS3. I'm determined to not let that happen this generation round, and most of my friends are hooked on the PS4 so that looks like the way to go.

The only thing I believe is better about the X1 is the exclusives it boasts. Whilst Halo and so on are good, they are a bit samey, however two specific titles which caught my eye were Titanfall and Ryse. Both look fantastic, although I have to say that Ryse certainly catches my attention, especially after considering the fact that Titanfall only allows for something like 6v6 or 3v3 players online. Obviously the game would be filled with bots but to be honest I prefer FPS games with a lot of people. That's why Im looking forward to BF4 on the PS4, because it now has 64 man conquest or whatever.

tl;dr get the console your friends are getting. gaming is only as fun as the people you play it with imo.
