PVP map (How do I balance it out?)

I've only made team one so far, not finished by FAAAAR. Gonna add secret chests and all for my private L) PVP server. How can I make team two balance out to team one? I don't want to give team two a minecart system because that's dull. I want something else, like the minecart track can be broken so people fall in the lava and all that jazz so, what is a equal thing I can give team two?

P.S. I know I said "usefull" not "useful", live with it.
P.P.S ofcourse the team's won't have full diamond shit, that's just because it's my building gear =)
