Question about Buying Accounts

Okay, I was thinking of potentially buying an account, but I've never bought an RS account before, so I have a few questions.

1. Why do people sell accounts if they're so easy to take back? If they can recover it at any time, what's the point of even buying?
2. Is there any way to make it more difficult to take back?
3. If they give me the information on the account, all the past info, etc, I'll be able to recover it if needed right?

1. A lot of people sell accounts and recover them back in like a month or longer to get their account back with the gold that the buyer put on it. Although, there are a lot of people who are legit.
2. Not really, if that person still has the same ISP and lives in the same house where he made it and also has the first passes, he has got a 80%+ chance at recovering it back.
3. You will be able to recover it if they give you the legit information.

So, good luck on buying the account and remember to always use a MM who will do a recovery test for you just in case.

jagex just made a update on the recovery system so you need the email registered to even put a recovery request so if you dont have the email that is registered gf

So, if they sell the account to me, and I change the email on the account, I'm good?

To chance the e-mail on the account you would need approval of the current email.

I've changed the email on accounts of mine before, I know that, lol. =P
I'm not a COMPLETE noob.

If they're selling to me legitimately, though, they should be okay with changing the email to my new one, correct? Or making a new email, changing the email to that, and giving me the account with email access to the new email.
Shouldn't they?

I just looked at the recovery option. If you don't type the right email, you can still complete the form.
