question about gamertag resets

I just want to know if there are some tags that will never be reset, or if they all will, when they will or if it's all just random.

My friend just got a pretty cool reset SOULCALIBUR III so that made me wonder.

No one knows anything about this subject and if they say they do they are bullshitting you.

I would stop worrying about it because you will never get any tags you want.
