I reported a post once for gravedigging. And I think someone said that a post isn't gravedigging as long as the post is related to the original thread.
Is that correct?
If it adds something of related quality then its probably not bad but if its a post like "hi thanks MM<M20 characters>" on a 2 year old thread this not normal
Posting on a thread where its last post is over a month old is considered gravedigging.
Posting on a thread where its last post is between one and 3 weeks is also considered gravedigging unless it adds real value to the thread.
Even if the thread was made months ago, and you post something that adds to it, it's not really grave digging. One example is the 'count to 10000' thread, it was made months ago, but you can still add to it. Like what Pichu said, if you say thanks for a dump that was two months ago, that is unnecessary.

Depends how long ago the last post was and how long the thread has been dead. If it has been dead for more then 2weeks and the owner of the thread hasn't bumped it it means it's gravedigging.
