This is a quick tip about how to prevent your PC form being infected.

I always use online virus scanners before downloading any file from web.

I don't know if it's safe to use online sites to scan files. I have AVG installed and that's enough (I think) to keep my computer protected.

Really just AVG is not enough, as AVG cant detect everything.
I would recommend downloading an anti-malware program, such as MalwareBytes, and an anti-spyware program, such as SUPERAntiSpyware - to use alongside AVG.

So far I am impressed with AvG I have no promblems so far.. But I also strongly recommend McAfee.

I dont dare click the links as that is how virus are really uploaded.

You must be really retarded to not trust these sites. They're awesome. They scan file that you uploaded with anout 40 different AV's. Do if you scan a file with it, the chance of getting a virus is minimal.

All depends how much room you have used up in your computer. My desktop take 1-3hrs. Laptop takes 15min.

Instead u can use ur own antivirus .

This sites are normally used to giv proof's to ppl that the software they are posting is not a virus .

Actually it's a valid reason not to trust them and doesn't require you insulting them of a Mental illness.

I have been using Symantect AV. Its simple and you can even download updates somewhere else and then install it in your computer.

Anyways, you cannot always rely on web scanners.
