I don't know if it's safe to use online sites to scan files. I have AVG installed and that's enough (I think) to keep my computer protected.

Really just AVG is not enough, as AVG cant detect everything.
I would recommend downloading an anti-malware program, such as MalwareBytes, and an anti-spyware program, such as SUPERAntiSpyware - to use alongside AVG.

I always use online virus scanners before downloading any file from web.

Actually it's a valid reason not to trust them and doesn't require you insulting them of a Mental illness.You must be really retarded to not trust these sites. They're awesome. They scan file that you uploaded with anout 40 different AV's. Do if you scan a file with it, the chance of getting a virus is minimal.
