Raise Driving Age to 18

What do you guys think about the House raising the driving age to 18?

I believe that there are too many young kids texting and driving. So I think that kids are more responsible when they turn 18. But really they are still irresponsible

I honestly couldnt give anymore fucks. Im getting my drivers in december so I'm safe if they do raise it.

Even thought I am very eager to start driving soon I think this is a very logical choice because this is age where kids know what the fuck there doing

I wouldn't like it. But, I feel like it's a good idea in a way. I just hope if this does happen, that it won't happen for about five more months, lol. That's when I get my license.

Do you mean that is the age where kids don't know what they are doing?

Because if you mean what you said then I have to disagree with you.

Kids that are 16 years of age do not know what they are doing.

I'm 18 and I still make mistakes.

Sorry on mobile I can't quote you. I mean in a sense of like there very immature IMO 18 is an age were kids begin to mature and start thinking like adults not just think that driving is cool this is based on my observations of Myself and my classmates
EDIT: in my first post I meant kids that are 18 know what they are doing

Oh alright I understand now.

I agree with you and I don't. That is because I am 18 and I still make bad decisions. I believe that the age of maturity is 25. Though the government would never raise the driving age to 25.

I believe that the government should raise the drinking age to 25.

I don't agree with that.
I'm 16 and my license test is Monday. I'm very responsible and consider driving a privilege. I wouldn't fuck that up.

Where I live the driving age is 16 to get your learners permit. I don't really see a problem with it atm.

The legal limit here is 16 and to be honest there's some people who need it to be 40 but I guess the government sets these rules for a reason.

Honestly I think it should stay 16 but raise the total time spent on the learners permit.

No. I used to live in Virginia and the age was 15 and a half. Now I live in the south and the age is 15.

The same here applies when moving into a different state, rules change all the time. It's annoying! The minimum age for a job was 14 and then it changed to 16. Next week back down to 15!

Its probably a good idea to do this. Im 19 so i've had my license for a while without much trouble. But I know of a few people who I went to school with that dies in accidents throughout highschool. Sad stuff.

I've always felt that the driving age should be 18. It seems like less accidents would be caused at this age.

I wouldn't like this, I get my permit in April and I'd like to get my license when I'm 17. They shouldn't raise the driving age. They should find the people driving and texting and temporarily suspend their license or let them face consequences. It's unfair to the people that actually do follow the rules.
