Raise Elite/Sponsor prices?

I'm sure you were going to do this a while ago, but it appears you've forgot.

The main reason is people come here with the intention to scam, try to get known, get a few hundred posts, buy elite ($5) then scam $200 worth of stuff.

Even if the price was say for example, $13.50 for Elite, and $40 for Sponsor, I still think that is reasonable, considering how great the Elite section is, it has auth dumps nearly every day.

I know, I have the same feeling, but I just thought I would remind The Elite, as scamming is becoming a growing problem.

Just because somebody has a paided for user-title doesn't mean their trusted. It's not The Elite's fault because he accepted the payment for the group. As he said before countless times. This summer RuneGear will be the fastest RuneScape community on the web. If I could find the quote, I would.

I agree, I've already got yellow (Only cost me $0, what I get for being a spammer ) and I want other people to have to pay more.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. People having to pay more, and possibly not get anything as a result of scamming (if the scammed member recovers the cash/account/what-ever) then the Scammer has lost money.

I don't think you understand the logic of a scammer, They tend to go for big deals. If a group title is only $20, they'll go for it. In fact I happen to know one of the biggest scammers to roam many forums, He's my best friend in real life. Not only are him and myself partners, were completely the opposite of each other. White Hat - Myself, Blackhat - Him. No I won't mention his name.

His saying ? "Go big go home".

For the record, I know what your saying, I've seen it all.

Just cause your rg elite or sponsor doesn't stop people with dealing with the person I know a lot of trusted users that are not even rg elite just cause your name is purple doesn't making you more trusted

If 30days has passed, then you can't charge-back. Don't play this game with me. Not only will I win, I have the power of Google :nice:.

You can escalate it to PayPal though, also, who takes a whole 30 days to do a deal?

Set-up deal.
Send cash.
Scammer scams.
Chargeback.
Get money back.

Time elapsed : A few hours, maybe a few minutes.

The Elite said this on the same thread with the reputation issue. If you're the one paying for the dedicated server, you decide the prices. I'm sure he'd rather have more upgrades than less upgrades so he can keep the new features coming and more importantly, the website up.

And you wont win the chargeback unless you used a stolen paypal or a VPN/Proxy.

I think Elite price should be raised to 10$, help bring TE more revenue without it being over priced.
