Do you believe in reincarnation?

Reincarnation by the way is believed to occur when the soul or spirit, after the death of the body, comes back to life in a new form, such as another animal, human or anything that is living. However, once born sometime things from a person's previous life are forgotten. This doctrine is a central tenet within the majority of Indian religious traditions, such as Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism; the Buddhist concept of rebirth is also often referred to as reincarnation.

RE: Reincarnition

I believe in it even if I don't follow any Indian religion. Souls are made of energy and I think the energy isn't endless, so it comes recycled with reincarnition. We can see our past lives when we are in hypnosis or in trance. Then some fears we could have may be a consequence of past lives, for example, a person fears water because in a past life he/she died drowned in a river.

RE: Reincarnition

In Hinduism, they believe that when we die, we are reincarnated to other living things, may it be animals or humans.

Darksoul is right, fears are born from our past lives. People with phobias may have experience all those things.

RE: Reincarnition

I do not believe in reincarnation.

I believe that each of us is given ONE life on earth. And our eternal destiny is determined by our actions and our choices in this one life. If we have committed our lives to Christ, we go to be with the Christian God in heaven.

I believed that once we die we have an eternal destination which is Heaven or Hell. Once the person will die, his/her body will turn to dust, the breath will return to God and His soul will be the one to face the eternal life. Our soul will be the one who live in eternity. If you are a child of God, you will have an incorruptible body and will spend eternity in heaven. And sinners will spend in their eternity in hell.

So, in this topic I don't believe that once die will go back again in any form as we are created and born with our own unique identity.

Well according to the teachings and some fantasy stories, I believe in reincarnation since if a person would die, they deserve to be born again as a new life form or something which they couldn't remember something in their past or something cannot be identical to the former life form.

I have mixed beliefs in reincarnation. My religion taught us that when our souls leave our earthly bodies, it can no longer return. That is why we have to make the most of our lives doing good while alive on earth. But I think I still need more readings and understanding of this issue. I can't completely say that I do not believe in it, neither can I say that I believe in it as well.

Hinduism do believe in reincarnation, some religions do not. It may really depends on your culture and religion what you believe in.

Some religion says that when we die, we go to heaven or hell, or in purgatory.

I don't believe in it,what I believe in is the Christian belief of life after death. The soul goes home to God and in Judgment day, all will be rewarded accordingly.

Islam doesn't agree with the reincarnation theory. Let us look at what Allah Almighty said in the Noble Quran:

"From the (earth) did We Create you, and into it Shall We return you, And from it shall We Bring you out once again. (The Noble Quran, 20:55)"

" 'And Allah has produced you from the earth, Growing (gradually), And in the End He will return you Into the (earth), And raise you forth (Again at the Resurrection).' (The Noble Quran, 71:17-18)"

"Nor will they there Taste Death, except the first Death; and He will preserve Them from the Penalty Of the Blazing Fire. (The Noble Quran, 44:56)"

" 'Is it (the case) that We shall not die, except our first death, And that we Shall not be punished?' Verily this is The supreme achievement! For the like of this Let all strive, Who wish to strive. (The Noble Quran, 37:58-61)"

From the above Noble Verses, we clearly see that Allah Almighty created us to die only once. This clearly refutes the reincarnation theory from the Islamic perspective.

You think, that Hindus are wrong about their Faith? Hinduism believe in reincarnation and they have been believing this for so long. They also have written doctrines like Qur an in Islam that explains reincarnation. Do you think, their doctrines are wrong too?

I respect others' beliefs but I do not believe in Reincarnation. For example, if an animal is a reincarnation of a certain person, why is it that they are still acting like an animal and do not have some human traits (like, for example, logic)?
