I would like you to give me one scientifically proven fact that disproves a teapot orbiting the sun somewhere between Mars and the sun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell's_teapot) basic burden of proof.

Genesis 1 creation account actually conflicts with the order of events that are known to science. In Genesis, the earth is created before light and stars, birds and whales before reptiles and insects, and flowering plants before any animals. The order of events known from science is just the opposite

(on the whole religion and science shit, yea.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Ages_(historiography) ) If I remember correctly a lot of shit happened there, some not so praising regarding science and Christianity

If I told you that there was a chicken noodle soup can that controlled the whole universe without showing you one piece of solid evidence would you believe me? that's how I feel about religion, show me proof their is god and I will believe, believing in him is like believing in the soup can and saying "Disprove the soup can then", it should be the opposite imho.

Your pictures only prove that people who were religious were also involved in science. Plenty of religious people work in science as it's not all about "disproving god" and etc. It has other purposes, like medical advances, new technology, etc. However, religion and science THAT INVOLVES THE DISPROVING OF GOD do not mix, as they directly contradict each other.

Valid point here, also want to add that science focuses on helping the modern world, not focusing on who's imaginary friend is real and who's is not. Don't get me wrong I have an open mind, I have gone to church and tried it, when I was there it was just the priest feeding me absolute bullshit.

(Off topic, but why do i have to pay to listen to him lie to me? the church does not get taxed)

It shows something called "Burden of proof" meaning you need to prove what you claim.

Genesis creation can be taken as symbolic, not necessarily as word for word truth. Also, this is about go in general, not necessarily Christianity.

Religion and science are two different things. Religion is what you believe and science is what you know if fact. Unjust believe in God because it is my faith and I believe in science because it is fact. Two very different things.

Religion is based on faith. Science is based on evidence. They seem like opposites to me.

Science, logic, and common sense all hold not necessarily proof but evidence that God doesn't exist, but we can't disprove him because God is unfalsifiable. Just like how you can't disprove my God or any other God no matter how outrageous or realistic he or she is.

My point is I'm tired of atheists saying religious people are ignorant and science disproves God. You believe he doesn't exist. We do.

Religion and science are both man-made and I support science. God has only made the world while science is made my man and religion as well and science is beneficial to all.
