Why does religion exist? Why do people believe in these "gods"? Do they exist? Can you prove their existence?

Really, what I don't like about religious people is that they protest about the bull that they can't do crap about, like... abortion.
Also, I hate hardcore religious morons that try to convert people.

I apologize if I offended anybody, but I just don't give a crap about religion. Why should religion be supported in the first place?

Religion exists because they need to practice their faith in a certain God. I believe in a God and I do believe that He exist in the universe. Everything that we have here is made by Him - the Creator. It is a tricky question of proving the existence of God because he is intangible. But the greatest proof that an Almighty exists is the very existence of everything - the world, flora and fauna, and humans!

I understand and respect your side about overly religious people. It is not about religion actually how one practice the religion and how the religious teachings are implemented and put into action by the person. I do see people who are really pious but somehow they tend to forget the teachings of their religion.

But can you prove how these things got here in the first place? Human, nature, and whatnot? You need proof before you actually come up with a conclusion.

And what about these idiots that think this "god" hates homosexuals or some specific race?
