Reputation is getting out of hand.

I've been negged so many times for the most random reason.
Like people I don't even know just neg me out of no where for no legitimate reason.
I've been reporting it since I registered here over a year ago and nothing is ever done about it.

I've never scammed anyone, I'm nice to every member, and I don't talk shit behind a keyboard, like a lot of nerds do on here.
The reputation system is getting out of hand, people throw around rep like it means nothing these days.
What I'm asking is to take reputation more seriously, look into reports... all mine get ignored.

edit: for people who say Rep doesn't matter... Is that what you were telling yourself when you were at 0?

i mean tbh rep doesn't mean that much (mostly because no one takes it seriously) don't worry about it too much

i feel so bad for new users though.
When I first joined I was negged and made fun of.
My rep was so low for no reason, I ended up leaving this forum for a while.
People where nice enough to get me to +10 or something and that motivated me.
I bought a membership and that made my time so much easier.
it amazes me spending $14 can change the way people treat you.

Why care what other people think of you on a virtual online forum? It's just numbers.
This is why an actual trade system should be implemented. Reputation also gives people a false sense of security when dealing with someone here as anyone can just rep anyone for doing jack shit.

Stop complaining. People upgrade for the ability to give reputation to people, whether it be negative or positive. Complaining about it is not going to change your rep, you're not a victim of reputation abuse so quit bitching about it.

I also want to quote you on this:
"people throw around rep like it means nothing these days." Rep doesn't mean anything these days lmao. Look at Astro, he was a staff member lmao. If that isn't enough reputation for members to deal with you and go first then I don't know what is.

This thread could give users more reason to give you negative reputation. So I suggest closing it.

Well there are vouch threads (which I doubt anybody actually looks at) but i agree. A vouch system would be nice. Especially if it was made for on-site deals only.

If I were to show my legitimacy to someone, I'd direct them to my "vouch thread", NOT my rep. Most of the rep people get now a days is just "rep4rep". Rep doesn't prove peoples legitimacy. People vouching on someones thread over past deals they've done does prove someone legitimacy.

Rep doesn't mean shit now a days. Making threads and crying about people neg repping you will only worsen your cause on getting neg repped.

I'm not trying to talk shit, because honestly I understand where your coming from. But honestly, every time rep is brought up on this site (EVEN under the milestone section) people always say "who tf cares about green numbers". So what did you expect to achieve from this thread? Sorry bud. :/

Ive been a FK user for a while and I know for a fact Rep runs this site.
When I was an Apprentice I got negged daily for no reason, and nobody would deal with me.
As soon as I upgraded it's like everyone was nice to me. I finally got to sell the SMs I had been trying to get rid of forever.
My rep grew and grew from the Vouches.

I left the community for a while and now that I come back and I'm getting random af negs...
It's discouraging.

I'm not into SMs anymore either. FK is the only 'SM' I use.
idfw ig,sc,twitter,yt etc So I don't get rep from vouches anymore..
