Req. user group to give Rep

Reputation

Allowing ANYBODY to give rep, will cause a lot of trouble in the future.
Something you can do is,
Registered (normal) users: Allow them to only give Neutral rep
Exuberant users: +3, -3, 0
and etc,

As of now i can see people getting scammed, or just hating a member, and creating new accounts and spamming -1 rep to the person they're hating on.

just an idea.

Subscribed users get, +3, +2, +1, 0, -1, -2, -3.

Normal users get, +1, 0, -1.

We'll see how it goes, If there's a lot of rep abuse, then there might be a change.

Alright, guess we'll just have to wait and find out ;P

I don't regular members should be able to give -1.

Don't think they should, or think they should?

Probably don't think they should.

If people make new accounts just to -rep somebody, staff can check the IP's of the accounts, and punish the rep abuser/multiple accounts, accordingly.

Let's keep trying to act all pro.
You act like they'll keep banning/removing the rep every time someone does Rep abuse.

it's worth using a proxy to rep fuck someone like 10x with new accounts, and have the staff, move outta their way to have to remove them, then ban each member...

I think regular members should be able to +/-rep if they have had over X (100 or so) posts. (to prevent people from making several accounts and rep abusing) That would solve the (future) problem right there.

I think the liberty of giving out +1/-1/Neutral should be reserved for Veterans of the forum (Member for about 1 year+, dedicated, contributing member), other than that, if you want such features, you pay for them.

Well, it is kind of obvious when a person who just joined, with 0 posts, and within -reps a member for no reason.

You do have a decent point, though.

I like this a lot. It works flawlessly at Support Forums.

Yea, that works, you can always make it so Registered users with 100+ posts will switch/override the user group to a different one (Veteran used) then they will have privlages to +1,-1,0

Maybe you can only give reps after 100posts? has anyone said that? it would eliminate the risk factor.

Yes, actually it was stated right above your current post.

I wasn't trolling, I was simply saying that you posted an idea that I just said
