[Request] OS X Yosemite .APP file

I would like to request the install for OS X Yosemite, and IT MUST be the version downloaded from the app store.
I believe it should be called "Install OS X Yosemite.app" but I'm unsure of the size. You will have this if you downloaded it from the app store.

I've found a way to install Yosemite on my unsupported Mac and I understand the risks, you will not be held liable.

DO NOT try to cheat me and send me something you downloaded off of TPB or torrented at all.

Whoever can help me will receive 1 item free from my graphics shop, if they so choose.

To anybody saying in their heads: "Why can't you just download it from the App store yourself??"
I'm running OSX 10.7.5 on a Mac that Yosemite doesn't support, so it won't allow me to download it.

Somebody please help me out, I don't want to have to steal this from either my school or the local Best Buy.

I can help you with this lmao, FaceTime me.

I'll look into this for you. Might have to be a torrent, no offense. But I'll still try.

Thank you! It cannot be a torrent though, I tried this with a torrented version of Mountain Lion and it had some issues so I will only be doing this with a legitimate copy of the OS.

You don't have a Mac boy, I can't FaceTime. I'll iMessage you though.

Hey @coltie2 @emp could either of you help me?
I think @"darth vader" and @fade both have Macs, so maybe one of you guys could help me out with this?
Thanks :)

Mine didn't come in the post, yet.
I probably need this too when it does if I ever want to upgrade to Yosemite. :/

Yosemite is a free upgrade, so you'll just be able to download it.
It might ship with Yosemite installed though, I'm not sure.

Looks like it will come with Mavericks, but as I said Yosemite is a free upgrade so you're good!
Could you be able to share the .app file with me after you download it?

You'll just have to download Yosemite from the app store and it will give you the file, no charge.
I'll make you a signature or something afterwards regardless of if it works on my computer, for helping me out :)

Mate I have a 2013 macbook. What you need me to do?

I just need the "Install OS X Yosemite" application that you received when you downloaded it from the app store.
It should look like this, but for Yosemite and not Mountain Lion.

What's the difference between Mavericks and Yosemite?
And should I upgrade?

Yosemite has a cleaner layout in my opinion.

Yosemite has a more flat UI, like iOS 7/8.
It also has a ton more features that allow you to connect your iOS device and your Mac more, if you have an iOS device this is a huge thing that will be a massive convenience.

I want to upgrade simply because the UI looks better IMO, and because I'm stuck on Lion so I'll also have iMessage which will be a really good thing for me. Yosemite has improved on a ton of things and even includes a dark mode where in other OS X versions you had to find third party apps to do it.

I love the UI so much in Yosemite, the translucency is beautiful, the notification center is something I've never had on my Mac and I can't wait to use it, and the whole flat UI is an area that I love about design right now. It looks much more modern than the old look of Mac that has looked the since for about 10 years, it's a massive update to the OS and will make it feel like a brand new computer. Of course yours will already be a brand new computer, but for me I'm upgrading from Lion, an OS from 2010.

Also one more question. What do I need to go in order to upgrade to Yosemite?
And what's the process like?

All you need is a supported Mac, if it can run Mavericks it can run Yosemite.
You just need an Apple ID and then you simply download the app from the app store and run it!
It will run you through the rest of the process but it's similar to installing iOS on an iPhone.

Not super hard just some longish wait times depending on your internet speed.

I have a iPad air, Iphone 6 and this macbook so it's all running the same clean layout which makes it look sexy.

@Yosemite, what's the process like when you upgrade? Never done this b4 lol.

edit: thanks :p

The only bad part about upgrading is doing all the updates.
When I wiped my MacBook I had to go back to Snow Leopard, by first wiping my hard drive completely (took 2 hours for some reason) and then download and install each update separately. There was about 5 or 6 updates, all taking 15-30 minutes and requiring a restart at the end. Then I had to proceed to install Lion, which took about 1h30m and each of its 5 updates taking 15-30 minutes, and THEN I had to use MLPostFactor (App to Get Mountain Lion on Unsupported Macs) to install Mountain Lion which took over an hour for some reason. It took me total 9 hours to refresh my laptop, only to realize updating to Mountain Lion was unsuccessful due to it being pirated. It was missing the dock and the OS had a lot of visual issues, so I just use my Lion partition now.

Hoping things go smoother with this install of Yosemite because it will be an a legitimate copy.

it isn't supported for a reason, your mac isn't capable of running it

probably won't allow you to install it anyway or it'll fuck up your mac
