I watched a video about this topic earlier and I agreed with the speaker that I don't have to respect your beliefs or anyone's.
For Example: http://theflatearthsociety.org/cms/ and Creationists.
These people still think the Earth is flat despite all the evidence that says the Earth is indeed a sphere and Creationists believe that Evolution is wrong. How can I respect those beliefs when there's so much evidence that refutes them and them being illogical? The only reason people held those beliefs is because their holy text said otherwise, and their text is unreliable and a couple of millennium years old. How I possibly respect their beliefs with that basis? I have this viewpoint on all religion too. I find it incredibly hard to respect people's beliefs when they're so illogical and silly.
I don't have to respect your beliefs, just your right to your beliefs. The belief doesn't have to be about religion either.
