When I was little I was obsessed with pulling electrical things apart to see how they worked on the inside, I could never make them work when I'd put them back together though.

Not much has changed, I still find myself disassembling software when I get curious about how it works.

Did you ever do this as a child?

Yes, I used to do it and as you, I couldn't make it back. My parents didn't like it at all.

I remember my first time i rebuild something. It was small car on remote control.

I removed the plastic and sow some cool parts. I tried to replace them to make it faster, but only thing i did was crossed red and black wire and totally destroyed the car.

Well that was a fail but since then i know a lot more things about electricity and wires XD.

well i used to lock my toys in the cupboard and i did experiments with my brother's and sister's toys. But i usually just disassembled them and see the internal structures of theirs and then used to left the assemblage work to my mother or my brother lol they all were annoyed by my this habbit. and i used to do this disassemblage work when my parents and brother were not at home and when they come back they were surprise seeing their toys in many pieces lol

This is a normal behavior of a child.we studied it when i was still in college.there's this certain level of a child wherein he wants to disassemble things then turn them back.its part of their curiousity.

I never used to take apart large electrical objects, mostly small devices. I also did do a bit of simple software reverse engineering.
