Rewarded with Punishment

An armed man attempted to rob an AutoZone in Virginia. One of the employees, who is also a veteran, snuck out the store and grabbed his legally-owned gun from his vehicle. He returned and was able to scare the robber away. This saved his company $2,000 and possibly the store managers life.

He was rewarded by being fired. Why? Because he violated company policy by bringing a personal weapon into the store.

Do you guys agree with this?

I posted this in the debate section just for you, @"Adam". I know that if I post anything that involves guns, it will turn into a debate somehow. lol

I think that he should be fired because rules are rules.
If someone breaks a rule, you can't just start making exceptions.
Also, guns.

lol. I can't take anything you say seriously. You have built up such a great reputation for yourself, Deathwish. =p

You and your silliness.

Saves managers life.... manager fires him. Dick Move.

Then why is my reputation 86 BRO.

No, but seriously, rules are rules no matter what. Sorry. He shouldn't be fired, but whatever.

Although rules are rules, there should be a few exceptions sometimes.

What if the veteran dude wouldn't have scared the robber, he would have taken the money, and probably having the veteran fired too for "doing nothing".
