For members, the best way to train prayer is to burn bones on a player owned house altar. In this guide, you will learn how to do this and how to optimize your speed with a new idea that I created. Please be aware that I didn't come up with this from scratch. There have been similar ideas used for runecrafting.
Forewarnings: This is only to be used if you have a lot of gold. This requires you to pay a good bit of money. If you are trying to powertrain prayer, and you have a lot of money, this method is perfect, considering that this will get you up to 600k-700k extra XP per hour with frost bones (about 3x the usual experience with any bone).
Step 1 - Go to Yanille
Get on World 31 (House Party World) and head to Yanille.
Step 2 - Inventory
At the bank, withdraw all of your bones and some money. The amount of money you will bring depends on what kind of bones you have. I will explain how to determine how much money to bring shortly.
Step 3 - Money
The concept of bone running is that you will carry all of your bones in noted form, and then you will hire runners to take them to the bank and bring them back in non-noted form for you. You can use a friend or you can hire a random stranger.
You will usually have to pay your runners for each inventory they do. Since it may be tempting for your runners to just run off with your bones, you have to adjust your payment accordingly.
If you are using big bones, you shouldn't have to pay more than 10k to 50k per inventory. If you are using dragon bones or frost bones, be prepared to pay from 50k to 100k per inventory. This is costly, but keep in mind this will get you an extra 600k or more XP an hour with frost bones.
If you are using frost bones, you will need about 15m per 5,000 bones.
Step 4 - Go to a House
Go to the house portal and find a house with a gilded altar. There is always an open one, so just look at the chat box and you'll see some being advertised. They're usually kept open for 1 to 3 hours at a time before you have to switch to a new house.
Step 5 - A Runner
If you already have a runner, continue to step 6. If you don't, advertise that you're looking for someone to run noted bones to the bank for you.
Say something along the lines of:
"Hiring bone runners. XX gp per trip. Just take my noted bones and unnote them for me."
You will need 2 runners for this to be efficient.
Step 6 - Clan Chat
This isn't necessarily required, but it's definitely recommended. Tell your runners to join your clan chat so you all have a common communication.
Step 7 - Running
For the first run, give your runners 26 noted bones and no coins. When one gets back, give him his payment and 26 more noted bones. Make sure your two runners are alternating (taking turns).
