Samsung Galaxy S4 goes official with new screen and CPU

Samsung just released its latest flagship - the Galaxy S 4. It packs a new 4.99" Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which adds up to a pixel density of 441ppi. The screen still a new PenTile matrix, though it probably won't matter much at this kind of density.



The international version of the Samsung Galaxy S IV is going to be powered by the Exynos 5 Octa chipset, which features four Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.6GHz, four Cortex-A7 cores running at 1.2GHz and the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU.

There will be a second version for some markets, which will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with its 4 Krait 300 cores and Adreno 320 GPU. Both versions will offer LTE connectivity and 2GB of RAM.



At the back, the Samsung Galaxy S IV will feature a 13 MP sharpshooter, while on the front a 2.1MP camera will take care of video chats and a host of new features that involve eye-tracking and hand-tracking. .

No seriously Android is destroying Apple right now, be scared when more s4's get sold than the iPhone 6 once that comes out.
 
as an Apple user, i'm fucking bored of how miniscule the changes are that Apple make to both hardware and iOS.
this new Samsung looks fucking amazing.
and i will be leaving Apple :3
 
I'm excited for this I really want to get it seeing as I still have my old Evo 4G that has all of its dings and such. The S4 looks amazing.
 
Fuck man, that phone is almost too much. It's basically a mini tablet is what it basically is. lmao... Such a badass phone though.
 
Yeah it looks pretty nice, but like Philly said, it's like a mini tablet and the screen is huge.
 
I'm getting a new phone in a few days and I was wondering if I should wait and get this or just buy am I phone 5? I need some advice..

Personally I think you should wait for this. This would be much better than the iPhone 5, but who knows by the time this comes out there might be an iPhone 10.

Ya it's hard to justify.. If I get a 5 now then I will be dated in a few months because of the 5s. I just want to get something now but I don't know if I should be patient and hold out for the galaxy.. Ill flip a coin. Thanks for the advise btw

This phone looks alright, I'm thinking about getting one.
it's either this or another iphone.
 
To everyone saying the iOS is getting boring, have you considered jailbreaking your iDevice?

If not, I suggest doing so.
If you have, then remove the stick from your arse. Get some real tweaks. Some that improve your overall use, make it fully customize-able, and just make using an iDevice that much better.
