Satanic Buddhism

Philosophically speaking, is it okay to mix LaVey Satanism and Buddhism?

I believe in indulgence, but to a limit, but a less stricter one than Buddhism's, but a lot of mixture with Fairness is what makes this limit. Not sure how to describe it better.

I like Buddhism's Middle Way thing, and I like LaVey's thought that indulgence makes your life, your only life happy. I don't believe in ridding desire, but limiting (a shot limit) indulgence.

For example - If you want to drink pop like water (which I do) then go for it, but don't attack someone for the pop or force someone to not live their life.

Another example is a little kid screaming "I WANT THAT AND I WONT STOP RANTING UNTIL I GET IT", don't do that.

Like if it is easy to get, go for it, if it is kind of hard, that's your choice, if it's hard but possible to get, you shouldn't go to extreme levels to get your cravings.

There are those who see Satanism as worship of evil,or at least of self-interest.There are those who see it as Atheism with an attitude.I'm sure many other stances exist, not at all of them incompatible with each other and not all of then reconciliable with each other.

And there are those who see Buddhism as an ilightened Dharma that values reason and reflection over tradition and dogma. And there are those who see it as an alternate language for what ammounts to as much the same thing as Islam or Bhakti, and what i would better describe as over-reliance on the concept of God.

There is no shortage of controvesy or passion on which interpretations,if any,are more useful or more correct. There is a disadvantage on using concepts, because sometimes we end up losing track of what is really being discussed.Words mean we want them to mean, and unfortunately it can be very hard indeed to make their meanings clear to others,or even to make a difference of interpretation even perceived in the first place.Sometimes it is even a goal to make those different unrecognized, since it brings a (fragile) sense of union and common goals.

I supposed my point is that I think you should consider what you want exactly. Are you seeking some personal understanding of what Satanism and Buddhism are or should be,or are you perhaps wanting to express your personal values and worldwide in terms of those two words?

My bet is that it is the later. But in that case, you will probably be better served by not relying much on the words by themselves and writing a bit more and establishing what they mean to you and what implications are.what is overindulgence to you,and how can one recognize it?What would semi-overindulgence be then?what is fairness, and how can we know if we are being fair?
