Saving the laptop Battery
Saving the laptop battery Here are some tips by me to save laptop battery
Defrag regularly – the faster your hard disk does its work the less it will consume energy. So defrag your hard disk weekly so it will make it more efficient.
Dim your screen – well this is the obvious, dimming your screen will conserve your battery juice
Cut down on programs running in the background – well things that you don’t need them, just quit them, this will save you from the CPU load plus some battery juice.
Add more RAM - This will allow you to process more with the memory your laptop has, rather than relying on virtual memory.
Run off a hard drive rather than CD/DVD - As power consuming as hard drives are, CD and DVD drives are worse. Even having one in the drive can be power consuming. They spin, taking power, even when they’re not actively being used.
Dimming your screen actually saves a lot of the battery.
Cycle charging so you get the most out of your battery, charge to 100% and than use it up to 0% and than charge it at least once a month... that is to make it so it goes through a whole "cycle" so that it can fully recharge and it keeps track of the battery better and don't leave it dead for extended periods of time
Hope you like it and find it useful as well
