What is the scariest movie you have ever seen and why?
I love horror movies so I really want to see your opinions

For me the movie that scared me the most was Chucky: Child's Play, but that is just because I was really young at the time and it scared the shit out of me. If I watched it today, I would probably think it's terrible

I'm the same i don't scare easily but 2 that i love that you haven't listed are
Darkness falls - my friend had to sleep with the lights on in her mums house for months after she watched it with me and
Thirteen ghosts

I got scared as fuck by:
Silence of the Lambs
The Hills Have Eyes --imo probably scariest movie I've ever seen

I also find The Shining extremely creepy, even though many disagree. The girl i'm with now is in love with horror movies so I'm discovering all these new ones, will keep you posted.

When I was younger Texas chainsaw scared the FUCK outta me. I couldn't even look at a picture of leather face without crying and having to sleep in my moms room.

The Conjuring and Paranormal Activity were pretty thrilling, and intense horror movies.

I disagree with you guys on Paranormal Activity's being scary, I think they are somewhat predictable and while the jumps might be scary they're not all that creepy.

The old Evil Dead movies are pretty fucking creepy, despite the fact that they're also considered comedy films.

I think "scary" movies are becoming shit lately to be honest.. There's too many special effects and the plots are becoming worse and worse. Nightmare on Elm Street will always be a favorite because of the plot and villain. A movie that always scared me when I was little was The Exorcist and The Grudge.

Freddy vs Jason was a mixture of two of the best movies I've ever seen and it was going to be so good but I feel like they ruined the opportunity. If you've seen it you'll probably know what I'm talking about.

The Collector is the scariest movie I've seen. It's also my favorite horror movie.
