I'm only in the 9th Grade. I really need some tips from the guys who are older then me.
I try so hard at school but it never pays off, I go to school from 6AM - 6PM. After school I go to Homework Club (It's where you can do your homework and get help from teachers) I still go their but it's just not working. Last year in year 8, the teachers always helped and my test results went up majorly but this year has less effective, teachers barely even go there except once or twice per week and it's generally fully packed. This entire term I only got 60% on both of my maths test, almost 25% short of what I expected. I'm particularly good at computers and such and when i'm older, i'm doing a course in computer science and hoping to land a job in networking at a company called IBN, this is achievable but I have to receive really good grades at the end of year 12 to get there, I'm not sure I'll be able to and I feel depressed when I think of something like that. I also feel like I've been slacking in studying, could someone please give me some extra tips?

Thanks

Well if you're slacking in studying, you obviously need to study. It isn't enough to read through material and attempt to memorize things. The key part of learning is connecting ideas, like creating a web out of all the individual things you have learned. When you connect ideas, it's much easier to remember them all, because each thing leads to another. It's also important to deepen your learning to a point where you thoroughly understand, not just memorize what the books are telling you. Memorization is only the initial step, but there are several more after. You need to find strategies that help you connect ideas and understand the information you have memorized.

I can't study at home; I never focus. I always go to our library where I can spread everything out on a big table. I remember things better if I read them out loud. Even if it's in the book, I'll rewrite information on a piece of paper that is important. Before I go to sleep, I review the notes I took from the text.

I was a lazy student in high school and was able to pull it off, but I do really have to study in college. I'm working on a minor in educational psychology atm so I could probably help you Message me if you need anything.

All you gotta do is just try your best your 9th grade year. Here was what my Highschool experience was like:

9th Grade: Shitton of work. Like it was ridiculous. I would bring my whole locker home with me everyday in my book bag.
9th Grade (Again): Still a Shitton of work. Got smart about using my locker though.
10th Grade: Less work and things become just a tad bit more laid back. Work was pretty easy, got some help here and there though.
11th Grade: Super easy. Only thing that was hard for me was Math. (I'm horrible at math.)
12th Grade: Lol. I didn't even do anything that year. How tf' did I graduate?

And I didn't go to a ghetto, or even run-down school mind you, I went to Brookwood Highschool. (Look it up.)
