Hi I was wondering what you guys thought about Science versus Religion. There's equal theory to support both sides but how would you guys prove which you thought was "real"?

There is not equal theory to support religion, it is facts versus faith. And regardless, noone knows what will happen until they die.

@Epidemic Yes, by fact (in terms of religion) there has been stated "proof" of some of the geological features, etc. listed in The Bible.

This isn't a debate about accomplishment. It's about what you would believe over the other and why.

OK but what's the premise of this? I value the elements of both for certain reasons. I don't think this is a matter of which proves more, rather which helps society more. And in a general sense, it is too hard to generalize which one is ultimately better.

@Wash That's why I asked for an opinion on what you believed was better. There's no right or wrong as long as you can back it up.

Ok, well I like science because it looks to innovate our society and improve our productivity. I like religion not for the gods and myth, but because of what it offers for people. People feel loved, cared for, and have a 'reason' to live and do good. (not saying you need religion to be good, but religious people have an incentive)

@Wash Wow, that was actually really good. I feel the same way to be honest.

yeah, I feel like the pop culture thing is to either hate on one or the other without considering which elements from which help us the most, and moving on from there. Instead people just argue over which one is backed up by 'facts'

I think you lack the basic understanding of science and religion.

There is not equal support for both sides, nor can both sides be proven. It's not 50/50. One perspective resides entirely on evidence and refinement, the ideals of progression, whilst the other resides entirely on blind mindless adherence to illogical doctrines and bully authority figures, the ideals of slavery, which perpetuate the bondage of man's mind and an overwhelming amount of injustice. When these concepts are highlighted in this manner, there is only one rational answer.

@Cann!bal I didn't ask for one rational answer, I asked for an opinion.

But of course you’re right, since your conceptions are flawed to begin with. It’s hard to take a guy calling himself Cannibal seriously when talking about human’s agony along the centuries, or how one thing humanizes humans while the other demonize them.

If my conceptions are flawed, I am not right, fool. You fail to even explain why I am wrong, rather, you make fallacious arguments.

If you had a decent reading comprehension you’d understand what i meant, ergo, you are the one making the fallaciously erroneous arguments here.

Man made god, science and evolution made us. It's common sense, religion was created for mankind to have something to believe in and separate us out. whoever it was who made the idea up, needs to pay a visit to the Islamic state militants with a sign around his neck saying " I eat pork you Muslim bastards"
