Haven't really seen too much discussion about this in this section.

From a general consensus, I've heard Scientology be depicted as an abusive cult that is exploitative of its members.

Although I am not too knowledgeable on the topic, I'd like to hear some of you voice your opinions.

It's no more different than Christianity, Islam or Judaism. Its gibberish and rubbish is just more blatant.

I don't see how Christianity, Islam, and Judaism is "gibberish" and "rubbish", you could of made that reply without the insult directed at religions that weren't even mentioned in the OP. Simply disagreeing with a religion doesn't make it "gibberish"
and "rubbish".

Although I don't agree with your first statement, I do agree that you can't call a practice that was founded in 1954 by a famous Sci-Fi writer a religion.

Yes, I could have, however, I've found the tool of ridicule most suiting when trying to stress and emphasize the malarkey and ridiculousness found in essentially all religions.

I never put forth the ideology that disagreeing with one's religious beliefs makes them therefore gibberish and rubbish is always the case. You're jumping to conclusions.

Well, I find the claim that wine and bread is Jesus Christ's blood and flesh to be quite gibberish. The claim that there was a grand flood 6,000 years ago, I also find quite rubbish, as well as the claim that the Earth is less than 10,000 years old. I do indeed find the claim that I will receive 72 virgins when I go to a magical firmament called Heaven after I die to be quite absurd. To deem otherwise, as you're suggesting, is to deny and go against the fundamental principles of biology and chemistry, the foundations of science, our understanding of the universe and logic.

Ignoring my points isn't good for a healthy debate.

Don't generalize, it'll only lead to fallacious outcomes. It's not an opinion for it's a matter of fact, not a matter of opinion. As I elaborated, those religious beliefs go against the fundamental laws of science, and logic, hence are gibberish and rubbish. That's a fact, not an opinion. It's essentially the equivalent of having an opinion on whether the holocaust actually happened, and you're viewing the matter as an equivalent of whether the color red is a nice color.

Depending on the subject, I most likely would, however, I fail to see why this matters nor do I see what real point this proves.

While Cann!bal may do a great job of presenting a point, it is important to listen to what he has to say and express your own viewpoint based upon his remarks. Cann!bal is not always correct, and I was looking for more opinionated responses, rather than factual ones.

This isn't any more false than any other religion, and shouldn't be treated any differently. Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Mormons, etc. all think that Scientology is blatantly wrong, because it is a ridiculous religion. However, I would say the same about their religions.

They're not opinions, they're facts. I've elaborated this already. Refute it if you deem otherwise.
