Securing an Instagram for Dummies

So you just bought your new super sick, crazy OG instagram and you need help securing it. That's what i'm here for.

We all know there are turboers out there, So swapping the name isn't the best idea when you first get your new instagram.

What you will need:
Access to an Email
A secure password
A facebook (Optional)

STEP ONE
Go to your profile (Bottom right button on the main Instagram screen)
Tap "Edit your profile"
STEP TWO
You're going to want to change the password first things first, So tap on "Change Password"
You want the password to be something secure, so if you plan on making it "Swag6969" you probably won't be keeping the account for very long.
I recommend using this website to encrypt your password.

STEP THREE
Now that you have a secure password you want to head over to this screen and change your email.
Make it something only you have access to and that nobody would actually be able to get access to.
You want to make sure this email is secure, You don't want people to manage getting access to your email and resetting the password to your Instagram.

STEP FOUR [OPTIONAL, but suggested]
Now that the account has all your secure information on it you want to do this final, very smart step to securing it.
If you have a Facebook (make sure it's also very secure, Nobody should be able to gain access to this either) you want to link it to your account, just in case the password you have set is registering as incorrect.

So you'll want to go to your main profile again (Bottom right button)
then you want to click on the top right button (Multiple dots going in a downward direction)
Press "Sharing Settings" and then tap the Facebook option.
What this does is makes it so that if you forgot your password and can't access your email for some odd reason, you can reset the password with your Facebook account.
