Seriously RuneGear... I was actually looking forward to being more active here.
But nope. Banning members for -repping someone? That's like putting someone in jail for stating an opinion.
I thought RuneGear would get better...
But now, it only seems like it'll get worse.
Now I am not just following the flow, I'm stating my own opinion. Yeah, I'm expecting a ban. Why? Because RuneGear have gotten to the point where it's not safe to state your own opinions.
I liked RuneGear the way it was before... like, you could be yourself, you could negative & positive rep somebody without it being a big deal...
Now it seems like... if you negative the wrong person, you get banned. This isn't fair. Because why would negative rep even exist if you can't decide who you want to neg rep?
Seriously RuneGear...

We aren't going to let some kids think they can run this place. You can have an opinion, but when you break the rules; you face the consequences. That simple.

All they did were negative repping him. Though, I hate that you involve age in this. There's actually kids who are much more mature than some 'adults'. I might be butthurt or what the fuck you want to call it, because I'm really disappointed in what RuneGear have came to.

That was due to RuneScape getting horrible. Well, botting disappearing. Though, I don't think that this change will increase the memberbase, maybe the income... but I remember you before... you didn't care about the income. Now I don't know anymore.

Sure you don't. Instead you sell it to someone who just want to earn money. Trust me, a forum needs more than a will to earn money. You were a good owner. Glen will just milk all he can from it and therefore, it's doomed to fail. I don't think he know what the community wants. Therefore, he does the most profitable, but is it really most profitable in the length?

Edit: May be wrong, but that's my impression of him.

However Chewy,if negative repping someone results in a ban,we are not free,and everyone would be banned.
Just because he is owner,doesn't mean he should have perfect rep(like me before some whore tot it was funny to give me neg...)

They were gang repping. Its not them stating their opinion; they are being disrepectful.

The reason why I say kids is because immaturity and disrespect is a lot more common in kids than in adults.

You have 3 options. You can stay on the forum and complain about how RG has changed and other stuff. You can help RG improve by producing content and giving suggestions. Or you can leave.

Sure. It was gang repping. But they all had the same opinion. Gang repping can be abused in so many different ways. Here, they were openly saying that they were against him. If they wanted a more 'stealth' attack, they could just have wrote a bullshit reason instead. It's still gang repping just it doesn't appears to be. Then I think we should ban everybody who neg repped somebody with more than 5 negative rep. Because that's gang repping.

Maybe that was an unfair parallel, but that's just because, if he weren't the owner, they would never be banned. Also, isn't it kinda demonstration? Which at least I, think should be allowed, no matter if it's in a group or alone.

Sure, most kids are immature, but that's still like saying all blondes are stupid because the majority is, get my point?

I am simply complaining as I want to give him a chance to change. If this doesn't change, I'll just leave. But I think RuneGear could be an awesome place with the right type of management.

Well, that's not a fair complacence. I think if a new member claims to lets say, might be a bit extreme, but to support Hitler, it's okay for multiply people to negative rep him. Yes. Music is a too varied subject to actually have so negative opinions on. If somebody is literally rude, you can simply negative rep him no matter how many persons are doing it. I must say, when they don't like what a person does, it's not more than fair to actually negative rep him. Also, Glen is the owner, he should chillax more about rep and take it as constructive critic.

Wow, the amount of assumptions in this thread are too damn high, maxie how the hell do you know what Glenn is planning on doing. He has even Announced it publicly the features he is going to bring out. A forum is a business and it has to be profitable. and he is trying to do that by hosting contest but with a entry fee(membership).
