Should ALL Drugs be Legalized?

But don't you think it should be somebody's choice if they want to take heroin? Who are you to tell them what they can and can't put in there body?
Well that is a really good point, but we also don't want every person to think its cool to kill themselves. Doing heroin is basically like tying the noose around your neck in my opinion.

Good point, however, what happens when adolescents get their hands on such drugs? Obviously if drugs such as heroin and methamphetamine were to ever be legal, there would be strict age requirements (21+). Just the drug being legal would allow minors to get their hands on the drugs much easier. The same "Who are you to tell them what they can and can't put in their body" argument could be used for minors, however, I do not think that would go over well with the kids' parents. I may be viewing this from a totally different point of view than everyone else, but do you want "our future generation" fulfilled with a bunch of meth heads and heroin addicts?

Drug awareness would run rampant and blatantly become a major political priority if all drugs were to be legalized.

Minors aren't equipped mentally to decide whether or not they should do drugs, hence a legal abstinence until they can.

The present generation consists of meth heads and heroin addicts, too. The rate of hardcore druggies is barely going to shift if all drugs are legalized for "People do not do drugs because they are illegal or hard to find (which they are not). They do not do them because they are aware they're adverse and dreadful for you. Essentially no one's going to begin doing drugs because they're legal now." The rate would decrease if anything due to the excessive drug awareness movement that would subsequently come due to legalization.

Well obviously we can't have minors making decisions like that because the brain isn't fully developed yet. Sure it might be a little easier for them to get there hands on such hardcore drugs but I think if they really wanted to they could buy them today as well. Obviously you are going to have minors who want to do that type of thing and will be able to get the drugs but there is really nothing you can do about it. You just hope they can make the right decisions. The same is for alcohol considering it is illegal for anyone under 21 but a minor can easily get it if he wants to.

In my opinion no.
That's only because I have a fucked up family due to hardcore heroin, crack, and meth addictions and have seen some horrible results.
One of my uncles has lost his kids, selling his food stamps for more drugs, stealing, and is fucking with some shady people, some that have already kicked the shit out of him. That's not shit compared to the rest of my family.

If you wanna do it, power to you.
Just most people don't end up well with those types of drugs, and if they have people relying on them, having those drugs legalized and up for grabs is a bit ridiculous. At first people don't seem to be affected, but you can just watch people and who they use to be fade out to all they care about is drugs.
Drugs such as weed, I'm all for. I've never had a bad experience with someone that is high, they're so chill and relaxed.
How it hasn't been legalized yet stuns me.

Where I'm getting is that people fuck around with these drugs that could possibly be fatal, if they don't care, cool. But again, it's the fact that they have family, kids, or even just friends that care about them. So much of my family still support the drug addicts by giving them money for drugs in attempt to maybe help them?

Legalizing those types of drugs could destroy some people's lives, even if it's just a, "one time thing".
I've seen it tear apart the lives of people, and have seen it fuck up some of my biggest inspirations to a point where I can't even talk to them..

Whether or not they legalize them, I don't care. I just don't think it'd be a wise idea. Just the thought of those drugs to me is like jumping into shards of glass.
