Should cigarettes be illegal?

If you ban it it well still be here and this time it won't be heavily taxed.

I agree, this is probably the stupidest question. out of all the legal drugs( spice, incense, bath salt ) you think tobacco should be illegal? people do what they want to do. period. the law doesn't stop a thing let alone use of drugs.

I actually don't think this is a stupid question contrary to all of you.

In my opinion, they should either reduce the damaging factors and nicotine in cigs greatly, increase their price and increase taxation OR ban them. They're gross, in my opinion.

Cigarettes are addictive, cheap and bad for you. One of the things that could f**k your life up - long-term. Whereas weed as a non-addictive drug that's illegal. Personally, I think they should make weed legal, but then demand tax for it.

Win-win situation for everybody, really.

Why's it stupid? It's better than going to jail for smoking, possessing or growing it, right? By the way, I meant tax for the ones who sell it; not buy it.

They shoudn't be illegal but it should be more forwned upon by the "people".

They are disgusting, but we also need them to get a good economy again. If we legalized Marijuana, we would get a better economy much faster. I personally believe they should legalize it, considering it was proven that it prevents lung cancer, or whatever(I heard about this from my brother, so I'm not completely sure about this.)

I think cigarettes shouldn't be illegal, its not that I like cigarettes, i never taken one and never will, but since they have been legal for so many years its impossible to make them illegal. They tried to make alcohol illegal and they had to repeal that because of how bad it was, it will be worse with cigarettes since half of america is addicted to them. There will be major riots and crimes breaking out at least 25% if they made cigarettes illegal. But that's just my opinion
