I have been thinking about this alot lately. But I will leave it up to the community. Should guests be able to view threads, or should they be required to either sign up, or register upon going to any thread? At this time there is only a select few forums that are not visible to guests. Please vote within the poll, and post your opinions. Thanks

I don't think there will be as many people registering if they are unable to view the threads.

The reason I joined is because the topics are really intriguing, and because I got to see how the community is like.

Philly this has been suggested so many times, people who haven't signed up shouldn't be allowed to view any thread within the marketplace. Every other section, yes.

I think that all guests can view threads only in general discussion and that's it

Gamertags, and social mediums sections are already private to guests...

I understand, however. Most people that commented said that ALL marketplace should be hidden. But everything else should be open to guests.

Yes. I hate sites where they don't allow guests to view posts at all. You don't know what the community is like, so you don't know whether you want to sign up or not.
Some sections shouldn't be viewable (still visible, just not viewable), but it's obvious which sections those are.

EDIT: And to add to this post, there are currently 30 guests viewing this exact thread.

Guests should be able to view every section/thread where it doesn't require you to be upgraded to be allowed access.

Would it possible to set a restriction on how many threads can be viewed in a twenty-four-hour period? If possible, a ten thread per day restriction would be reasonable.

After viewing ten threads, the guest viewer could be promoted to the following message:
Sorry! You have reached the maximum amount of threads you can view as a guest. You will be able to view more threads in 24 hours or you can register an account.

It would be based off of the guest viewer's IP address.

Yeah that is how I actually used to have it setup.

The best title for the thread would be:

"Should leachers be able to view our threads?"
