Should I buy an Xbox, PS3, or start building a Gaming PC?

I am getting paid on Thursday, and I am expecting my pay check to be anywhere from 900$ to 1000$ (I have a four day break right now, otherwise it would be 1200$). I do not own a gaming console. So the question is - Should I buy an XBOX, PS3, or buy around half a gaming PC, and finish it with my next paycheck. I will make a poll, so make sure to vote, and leave a post, and explain why you believe one option is better than another.

Shout out to Justice for reminding me their are other consoles than XBOX.​

If you have a lot of friends that play xbox, go with that.
I love xbox, but I think a gaming PC would be awesome. There's PC exclusive games that are pretty awesome too. And mods for pretty much any game. It can be pretty pricey though. And you can use gaming PCs for just about anything, not just gaming.
PS3 just sucks overall, I wouldn't recommend it for various reasons. Only good thing about it is that it has free internet, but then again, so does a gaming PC.

It's all preference. PC Games actually come a-lot cheaper & you won't have to keep paying for some sort of membership. With $1,000 you could get a decent gaming computer, not the best, but a good computer. Xbox is what I play, it's my favorite console, but when it comes to there horrible support.. I get fucking pissed with the company. PS3, Don't go near anywhere adding a credit card to that console. Credit cards are stolen like every month, Just about two weeks ago 50m C.C's were stolen. Pretty much, I'd get a gaming PC, but that's just me.

Well, depends what you like.

PS3: Great for free gaming, has some nice Exclusive games, and is ok
Xbox: Is good for gaming as well, cross game chat, and some other stuff
PC, Is OK for gaming, nice games, nice exclusives, some kickass mods! My fav

If you are rather competitive I would say gaming Pc, but if you wanna talk and chill purchase an xbox.
