So here's what happened: I had a level 47 character in GTA Online that got erased or something by R*. There is currently no telling whether or not it will come back or if R* will be able to restore it. Should I wait this out and hope to get my character back or should I just start a new one? If I were to start a new one, all the money I had (900K plus) would transfer over to the new one. I just don't know if I should start a new one and risk overwriting the old one. What do you guys think?
 
tbh, i would start a new one, it's not like you're not going to play online in the mean time, if it takes a month who knows. i would personally hope right back onto online.

I'm very tempted to just restart. Whatever one gets more votes is what I'll choose. I'll make my decision tonight.
 
Just restart, the game is about fun. What fun is waiting? If you were able to get there once, you should certainly be able to do it again.
 
I wouldnt restart, I just walked away from the game soon as my character got 'delted'. I got my character back though. If you do decide to make a new one I guess just play on the temporary one. Rockstar said dont create new permanent characters a couple days ago.
 
Rooster Teeth uploaded a video about it there, don't delete your profile/ character, go watch it if you want the information that I don't have off the top of my head sorry.
 
Start a new one, I can get you the Parking Garage mission straight away to get you back up to where you were in under 2 hours.

It's all good, dude. My friend will do it for me to get me back to where I was. Once I get to to 75 I'll host some lobbies for FK.
 
Supposedly the update for PS3 has restored characters, so I assume it will be the same for Xbox tomorrow, but I could be wrong. We'll have to wait and see.
 
Maximum, if you go to story and then gta online from there. It will restore your character, try it more than once. Hope this helped.
 
Start over, and see if any of your friends can host RR for you. You would be back to your level or even higher in no time!
