1st Debate: Should Marijuana become legal in all states?
I personally do not smoke at all. I think that the government knows that they haven't been fair towards that law. I believe that they should have it legal because its another drug. It is something that is used like tobacco or Cigarettes. It is said to have killed brain cells after smoking a certain amount of it. I personally don't think this is a fair law to ban it because smoking and doing tobacco ruin your body along with alcohol. With Chewing tobacco, you can get all sorts of cancers along with smoking. Those drugs are very addicting due to the nicotine inside of it. Marijuana is said to not be addicting. Although I think that this law should be changed, I think it should come with laws. I think that it should be changed to the same age as drinking and that the same rules should apply. They both are substances that shouldn't be used while driving nor should be smoked in a car. I think that they should both be taken responsibly. Please post your view on this, I am very curious of your thoughts.

Debate 2: Should The drinking age be changed to 18 for people with a military card?
I personally think this should be allowed in our country if they return home. Many are allowed to drink out oversees, so why should it be illegal when they get home?
In 1997, the Marine Commandant issued a policy which restricted on and off base drinking for Marines stationed overseas to age 21, even if the host-country had a lower drinking age law.

But in September 2006, the Corps lowered the drinking age for Marines in Japan to 20 to reflect the local drinking age.

However, The Marines may have a different philosophy. In April 2007, the Marine Corps Commandant signed off on MARADMIN 266/07, allowing 18-year-old Marines to drink in foreign ports if the host nation’s law allows it.
This shows that they are able to drink. It is well deserved. It is said not 99% of the Country wont join the military. They fight for the country, and drink normally? Why shouldn't this be deserved? Of course all of the same rules should apply. Please post your views on this. No hate on this please.

Why would a marine who is considered highly skilled in their profession want to (temporarily) impair their motor skills and possibly cause permanent neurological damage to themselves? Or worse. For the sake of a nice buzz? Less than one week ago, a friend of mine was killed in a car accident involving alcohol. He was 19 years old. He was a marine, and so was the person he was driving with. I think 21 is too young to drink, or to fight. I don't condone either. The prefrontal cortex of the brain, where "decision making" takes place, doesn't even develop in men especially until they fully mature usually around 25. Some people never complete that growth, as things like ALCOHOL and MARIJUANA can stunt and prevent it. Figure, you couple an undeveloped young male whose trained for war, with alcohol and testosterone. Bad things happen. Think about what you're advocating. My friend could have been yours. R.I.P Kurt. <3

You're not at war every single second. Once you're home, you should be given the chance to drink. That was an unfortunate decision that your friend made. I think going to the military at a young age is the best. You're in the best shape of your life. Your mind is young, your bones are strong and you are capable of your own decisions at the age of 18.

Not trying to be a dick, but you said that Kurt was drinking alcohol while driving or was drunk? If this is the case it is his fault for what happened. I'm not sure because you didn't put the whole story but this is what im getting out of it. @Boltage i dont think the drinking age should be changed for people in teh military.

The drinking age; of course not. They're not better than everyone else because they're in the military. They still make the same mistakes we do. Plus, when they come home on breaks, they're stoked to do everything. We don't need alcohol even more in the mix.

As for marijuana, I'm torn. It's about the same risk as alcohol, but people tend to take it more lightly. If it is legalized, it would definitely need to be highly regulated.

Debate 1: My thoughts on Legalizing Marijuana is 100% for legalization, i do however agree it should be age monitored i say at 18 you should be able to smoke pot legally and know what you are doing no younger no older. I myself do now smoke i used to be totally against it my friend @Sprout got me to rethink the ways i had been lied to about it for years and now i do smoke occasionally and it does relieve a lot of my stress i have in my life and keeps me content.

Debate 2: This idea i like aswell, men and women of the military even after coming back from tours in Iraq and Afghanistan mainly, are being lied to about their benefits they were promised when entering the service, aid to go back to college to better themselves and aid to find a job, we just had a major cut (sadly) for budgets to aid our Vets which is embarrassing imo that we do this to people who serve, but as far as something as small as the Drinking age to 18 for men and women in the service even after coming home i agree @Boltage , its something small we could easily pass just to give them a little thanks for their service.
