Why would a marine who is considered highly skilled in their profession want to (temporarily) impair their motor skills and possibly cause permanent neurological damage to themselves? Or worse. For the sake of a nice buzz? Less than one week ago, a friend of mine was killed in a car accident involving alcohol. He was 19 years old. He was a marine, and so was the person he was driving with. I think 21 is too young to drink, or to fight. I don't condone either. The prefrontal cortex of the brain, where "decision making" takes place, doesn't even develop in men especially until they fully mature usually around 25. Some people never complete that growth, as things like ALCOHOL and MARIJUANA can stunt and prevent it. Figure, you couple an undeveloped young male whose trained for war, with alcohol and testosterone. Bad things happen. Think about what you're advocating. My friend could have been yours. R.I.P Kurt.
